Nahid at his office in Dak Bhaban for the first time

Adviser Md. Nahid Islam went to his office Dak Bhaban in Agargaon for the first time after taking charge sat in a meeting with the officials. He he directed the officials and employees of the postal department to provide services to the people with the highest priority.

Director General of Postal Department SM Shahab Uddin and other top officials spoke at the meeting presided over by the Secretary Posts and Telecommunications Division Dr. Md. Mushfiqur Rahman. During the exchange of views, the postal department's institutional distinctiveness, central administrative structure, service delivery administrative structure, manpower, networking, services provided, service diversification and achievements and progress were discussed in detail.

Advisor Md. Nahid Islam said that we should not forget that the people gave their blood for the goal and purpose of the student uprising. Keeping in mind the spirit of the people's uprising, the highest priority should be given to establishing the rights of the people and providing services.

The adviser also said that the Department of Posts is a traditional institution; they are doing a lot of work but people do not know about those things. The people of the country should be given a clear idea about the work of the Department of Posts. As it is a place of people's trust and its institutional form has been in place for a long time, it is thought to modernize the postal department with the times.

Nahid said, since we got new Bangladesh in exchange for the blood of students in a coup, no one is the hero here, the people are the heroes of this coup. Everyone is dreaming about that Bangladesh. Many people have different expectations. Since this opportunity has arisen, structural reforms of the postal department are being contemplated.

Department of Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Dr. Md. Mushfiqur Rahman said, there is a need to reform the administrative structure in the postal department. The world is moving very fast. The services provided by the postal department need to be modernized very quickly in the changing situation.
